Are mules work appropriate?
I really like the look of these shoes, but I just can’t reconcile wearing them to work.
(Find them here, here, and here, respectively).
They would look ridiculous with socks, so bare heel seems the only way to go. And while I occasionally have worn dressy sandals or slingbacks to work, I can’t recall ever having the backside of my foot completely exposed.
It seemed like a moot point since the weather is changing, but suddenly these winter-ish mules are everywhere:
They come in several versions, too.
What do you think? Yay or nay for work?
I am not sure. But cupcakes and cashmere blog, which I think I found after you mentioned it early on, actually posted on wearing socks with dress shoes this week, including a picture of grey socks with silver sling backs. I thought for sure it was an April fool’s joke, but apparently it is a thing. Check that out and see if it helps you decide! Is new work environment more or less fancy than old?
I’ve been wondering about this myself. Working in the healthcare field, I usually wear closed toe shoes so maybe these count. Although if I drop a needle and it stabs my heel…because one never knows how a needle lands.
